KWPN Performance Test
McLaren passes KWPN Performance test with top marks!
McLaren obtained his breeding license from the KWPN studbook with fantastic marks. The son of Morricone passed the performance test successfully and received 83.5 points. McLaren, always moving with a lot of suppleness, had a 9 for rideability and scored 8.5 for the walk, suppleness, posture and balance and for talent as a dressage horse!
The beautiful and very elegant McLaren, son of Oldenburg champion stallion Morricone, excelled in rideability. The judges gave him a 9! His uncomplicated, willing character prompted his rider during the performance exam, Astrid Reinders, to say: "An abnormally sweet stallion!"
McLaren got a 8,5 for the walk and also for suppleness, posture and balance and for talent as a dressage horse. For the trot and canter he received a 8. With a total of 83.5 points McLaren was registered with the KWPN Studbook.
The KWPN report says: "McLaren is a sympathetic and elegant stallion who is well concentrated on his rider with a very good attitude. The stallion is very willing to work. The walk is very active, clear and with good lengthening. The trot is light footed, with good scope and flexibility. And the same for the canter. Striking in the canter is the scope, balance and suppleness. McLaren moves with a very expressive front leg and a lot of shoulder freedom. The stallion has a good posture and very good balance. McLaren has a lot of talent for dressage and gives his rider a very good feeling.”
In addition, the KWPN says about the added value of the stallion in Dutch breeding: "McLaren can contribute to the blood distribution and can also add elegance, light-footedness and attitude to dressage horse breeding."
McLaren will be ridden by Dinja van Liere. The stallion moves to our stallion station in Uden. McLaren will be available for Germany through Gestüt Westfalenhof, where he was at stud for the past year. His first crop will be born in 2021.
