Oldenburger Hengst-Tage 2020
Fürstenball-son approved by Oldenburger Verband
Our 2.5-year-old Fürstenball son got his breeding certificate at the Oldenburger Verband last Saturday. The chic stallion was already moving well on the lunge, but he also impressed in free movement. A nice success again for our stable and for co-owner Stud Farm Turfhorst.
The Fürstenball-son is bred by Dr. Rolf-Peter Schulze and he is out of the Hauptstutbuch mare Sandro Lady (Sandro Hit x Donnerhall). The mare previously produced the approved stallions Florenz (s. Florencio) and Florentiner (also by Fürstenball). Florenz, bought at the auction in Oldenburg at the time by Gerd Sosath for 100,000 euros, is now competing on Light Tour level. Florentiner was the most expensive dressage foal of the Oldenburger Summer Mixed Sales.
Also the Grand Prix stallion Lord Loxley, well known under Hans Peter Minderhoud and Brett Parbery, comes from the direct mare line.
On the last day of the Oldenburg stallion inspection three stallions received the Hauptprämie. Two of them were discovered by Reesink Horses. They are Gestüt Westfalenhof’s Viva Gold (Vivaldi x For Romance x Weihegold) and the KWPN-bred Galaxy (Grand Galaxy Win T x Sir Sinclair) owned by Gestüt Sprehe.
The popular stallion Viva Gold, grandson of Isabell Werth's top horse Weihegold and bred by Weihegold's owner Christine Arns-Krogmann, got the silver Hauptprämie. Bernhard Thoben of the Oldenburger Verband discussed Viva Gold’s offspring and said: "The foals were impressive, their gaits are big and have swing. They have lot of strength from behind."
When Reesink Horses bought Viva Gold at the foal auction in Vechta, he was the auction topper. After his approval, Gestüt Westfalenhof first leased the stallion and now the studfarm owns him entirely.
Galaxy, bred by Cees Kikkert, also came to our stables as a foal. Gestüt Sprehe bought the stallion at the Westphalian stallion show. Bernhard Thoben said about Galaxy's offspring: "His foals have nice types, a good neck and uphill movements." It earned him the third Hauptprämie.
