Reserve Champion KWPN Performance Test
Lowlands
Dinja: “Lowlands is a very inquisitive and smart stallion.”
Lowlands did a fantastic KWPN performance test. He ended it with 87.5 points and became the reserve champion in the performance exam. Lowlands scored enormously with his walk (9.5) and rideability (9.0) – both driving forces in the KWPN dressage breeding policy – and did not miss any points: 8.5 for trot, canter, suppleness, posture and balance and aptitude as dressage horse.
In his first year in the hands of Dinja van Liere, Lowlands reached the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf. And he was included as a reserve in the German team for the World Championship for Young Dressage Horses in Verden.
Dinja was super enthusiastic about Lowlands in the ring: “Lowlands has a very nice mentality and it shows in competitions! He is very focused and does his best!”
With a nice balanced test, Lowlands finished fourth in the final of the Pavo Cup in 2021. He scored 89.4 points. Jury president Mariette Sanders in her comment: “A wow horse!!!
Lowlands is also doing well in the KWPN Stallion Competition. In the Z class he has already won three times this fall. In Exloo he scored 86.2 points. The judges are full of praise for his performance, his canter and ability to transition are frequently mentioned. As the work becomes more difficult, Lowlands gets better and better.
Lowlands comes from the best German bloodlines. His sire is the popular Easy Game son Millennium, who already produced several champions in Germany. Lowlands is his first approved KWPN son.
The dam of Lowlands is La Donna S, a daughter of Donnerball, who won silver at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses as a five-year-old. Donnerball was competed at the highest level in the sport by Kristina Sprehe. As his name suggests, Donnerball is a direct son of the top Grand Prix stallion Donnerhall, who received a life-size bronze statue in Oldenburg as one of the most important dressage horse progenitors of all time. Donnerhall himself claimed no less than 65 international victories and won team gold and individual medals at major championships several times.
Lowlands' dam line is equally impressive. His dam, La Donna S is an Elite Staats Premium mare and was selected for the prestigious 'Brilliantring' at the Oldenburg Elite Mare Show in Rastede. In addition to Lowlands, she has produced two more approved sons, Dantes Dancer and Dantes Specter, a Prix St. Georg daughter and an Elite foal. Grandam Lucy is the dam of three Staats Premium mares and of the Grand Prix dressage horse Nora ridden by Christa Larmoyeur. Lucy is also the half sister of the Grand Prix dressage horse Exquis Escapado, ridden by Carl Hester and Hans Peter Minderhoud. There are also a number of approved stallions from the dam line, as well as successful sport horses up to and including Grand Prix level.
Lowland's first foals were born in 2022 and the first impression is very good. His daughter So Incredible became dressage champion at the NRPS inspection in Lunteren. She stood out with her beautiful model and extra movements.
Lowlands was bred by Bernhard Schrapper in Germany. Iron Spring Farm (USA) has been the owner of the stallion since 2020. He stays in the Netherlands and is in training with Dinja van Liere.
