A golden Premium stallion
Dinja: “Next Pitch is a power house, he is big and tough.”
The KWPN Premium stallion Next Pitch (Geniaal x Blue Hors Hotline) is a modern, elegant and strong moving son of the Small Tour stallion Geniaal out of a daughter of the Grand Prix stallion Blue Hors Hotline. His grandmother is the well-known stallion dam Litchy, dam of, among others, the preferent Painted Black.
Next Pitch, bred by Suzanne Smeeing and Wouter Lodder of Unlimited Horses from Lunteren, was one of the crowd's favorites at the KWPN Stallion Show. The selection committee was also full of praise for the stallion. Bert Rutten, chairman of the stallion selection committee, said: “He is a modern, elegant stallion with a good dressage model, who combines light-footedness, strength and suppleness with a mountain-climbing tendency. In short, everything we look for in a premium stallion.”
The sire of Next Pitch is the Small Tour stallion Geniaal. Vivaldi's son was very successful under Dinja van Liere before he was sold to Denmark. The pair won the VHO Trophy and silver at the NK in the Small Tour, among other things.
The dam of Next Pitch is a daughter of the recently deceased Hanoverian stallion Blue Hors Hotline. The stallion, approved by several studbooks, achieved 70% plus scores in the international Grand Prix ridden by Daniel Bachmann Andersen. Hotline (Hofrat x De Niro), who was auctioned as a two-year-old champion stallion for 800,000 euros, left more than ten approved sons and almost 20 Grand Prix horses.
Stallion dam Litchy is the grandmother of Next Pitch. The sport(dr) perst pref Elite mare belongs to the Grand Prix stallion Ferro. She produced For Gribaldi the preferent Grand Prix stallion Painted Black and his full brother Painted Black II, approved in Oldenburg, Sweden and by the NRPS. The KWPN stallion and Small Tour horse Zizi Top (by United) is also a son of Litchy. In addition, Litchy van Totilas produced Marlies van Baalen's Grand Prix horse Go Legend.
