Een droomwedstrijd voor Reesink Horses
Deze finale kan de boeken in als een droomwedstrijd voor Reesink Horses uit Eibergen. In alle drie de rubrieken gingen Reesink-hengsten aan kop. Mauro Turfhorst (Zonik uit Hidaylia ster van Negro, fokker Jan Greve uit Haaksbergen) kreeg met 92,6 de hoogste punten van de avond. “Dit was weer een fantastische proef van Dinja”, looft Mariëtte Sanders – van Gansewinkel haar verrichting. “Het was heel lichtvoetig en vanzelfsprekend, echt zoals het hoort. De stap is mooi door het lijf, de draf heeft veel techniek en is heel lichtvoetig. Elke pas is raak en we konden een 9,5 geven. De galop is zeer vanzelfsprekend met een mooie balans en veel schakelvermogen. Wat een compleet dressuurpaard!”
Morricone-zoon McLaren (Morricone uit Samatha van Sir Donnerhall I, fokker Ulf Toenjes uit Ganderkesee) liep met 88 punten naar een tweede plek in het dagklassement, maar hield zijn koppositie in het eindklassement vast. “Wat een ongelofelijk knap paard is dit! Dat weet hij en dat laat hij ook echt zien. Er waren vandaag wat kleine issues met betrekking tot de harmonie, wat alles te maken heeft met de indrukwekkende ambiance. Zijn stap is heel los door het lijf, in de draf hadden we echt een wauw-gevoel. Hij liep met heel veel veer, heel veel power en veel cadans. We hebben daar een 9,5 voor gegeven. In de galop zat helaas een foutje in de contragalop, wat we mee moeten nemen. Maar de galop heeft wel heel veel allure. Dit paard heeft werkelijk alles mee voor de toekomst.”

A Dream Competition for Reesink Horses
This final can go down in the books as a dream competition for Reesink Horses from Eibergen. Reesink stallions took the lead in all three classes. Mauro Turfhorst (Zonik out of Hidaylia ster by Negro, breeder Jan Greve of Haaksbergen) received the highest points of the evening with 92.6. “This was another fantastic test by Dinja”, Mariëtte Sanders – van Gansewinkel praises her performance. “It was very light-footed and self-evident, really as it should be. The walk is beautiful through the body, the trot has a lot of technique and is very light-footed. Every stride is on point and we were able to give a 9.5. The canter is very natural with a nice balance and a lot of power in the transitions. What a complete dressage horse!”
Morricone's son McLaren (Morricone out of Samatha by Sir Donnerhall I, breeder Ulf Toenjes of Ganderkesee) finished second in the daily standings with 88 points, but held onto his lead in the final standings. “What an incredibly handsome horse this is! He knows that and he really shows it. There were some minor issues with the harmony today, which has everything to do with the impressive ambiance. His walk is very loose through the body, in the trot we really had a wow feeling. He moves with a lot of power and cadence. We gave that a 9.5. Unfortunately, there was a mistake in the countercanter, which we have to take into account. But the canter has a lot of allure. This horse really has everything for the future.”
