Mauro Turfhorst is a black pearl who can be described as a top talent. Under saddle, the breeding product of Jan Greve from Haaksbergen more than lives up to the high expectations! The reserve champion of the KWPN Performance Test was a finalist in the five-year-olds and six-year-olds classes at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses.

In 2021, Mauro Turfhorst became reserve champion with 84 points and was registered at the KWPN studbook. The performance jury praised Mauro Turfhorst’s performance: “The stallions always moves uphill. He has a very nice character, is willing to work and always thinks along well.” Mauro Turfhorst scored an 8 and seven times an 8.5. The performance topper continued his training with Dinja van Liere. In the stallion competition class L, Mauro Turfhorst became second and received, among other things, a 9 for the canter. Mauro Turfhorst also scored well in the stallion competition in 2022. This time in the M class. In the three competitions he completed he scored more than 85 points each time, during the final in Den Bosch he achieved no less than 92.6 points. He finished second in the competition, just behind McLaren.

Everything indicates that Mauro Turfhorst will become a Grand Prix horse. Not surprising if your father is the Grand Prix stallion Glock’s Zonik, who under Edward Gal became three times a Dutch champion in the Big Tour and won team silver at the European Championships in Rotterdam.

Mauro Turfhorst comes from the famous performance and predicate-rich Daula line (Dam line 31, breeding family 20). His mother is the elegant, long-lined Negro mare Hidaylia. From the direct dam line come the Small Tour mare Vivalia (s. Biotop), the Grand Prix mare Cavalia (s. Sir Donnerhall I), the KWPN approved stallions Farmer (s. Voltaire), Jimtown (s. Darco) and Pardon (s. Weyden).

Furthermore, the KWPN approved stallions Majesteit (s. Ishan xx), For Gribaldi (s. Gribaldi), Safarie (s. Farn), and the Grand Prix stallion Hierarch (s. Cocktail) descend from the dam line of Mauro Turfhorst. In addition, the stallions Janeiro Platinum (s. Sezuan), Gershwin (s. Vivaldi), Norton L (s. Nimmerdor), Jazzman (s. Jazz) and Caratino Z (s. Calvaro Z) come from this dam line. Many sport horses also come from the famous Daula line. Eight horses are Grand Prix registered and four have achieved the highest level in jumping. More than 20 horses are performing or performed at Inter I level.

The foals out of the first two years of Mauro Turfhorst have now been born. They are beautiful and complete foals. Mauro Turfhorst produces sturdy foals with a great conformation.
