Vino Tinto is a talented son of Viva Gold OLD and immediately stands out for his beautiful conformation, expressive canter, and overall quality of movement. His trot is characterized by a large foreleg and a strongly engaged hindleg. His walk is spacious, pure, and supple, showing great potential for collection. Vino Tinto promises to develop into a highly promising sport horse for the future.

His sire, Viva Gold OLD, is a grandson of the legendary Weihegold OLD, who won multiple international titles under Isabell Werth. Viva Gold OLD himself was the 2019 14-day test winner with a final score of 9.09 and qualified twice for the Bundeschampionat. He has also produced two champion stallions, two reserve champion stallions, and nine premium stallions, highlighting his significant genetic value.

Vino Tinto’s dam, the Verband premium mare Estelle, comes from the top Santina line (Sandro Hit x Ferragamo). This mare line has produced several approved stallions and champions, including the Hanoverian champion and Weltmeyer Prize winner Despacito (v. Don Nobless), who took silver at the Bundeschampionat, as well as Excalibur (v. Escamillo), second reserve champion at the Münster-Handorf 2022 inspection. This combination of top sires makes Vino Tinto genetically very interesting for breeding.

Vino Tinto’s first foals already show highly promising qualities. They are well-bred, long-legged, with outstanding movement and a modern appearance. The foals attract attention at auctions and sell very well, fetching up to €19,000 at the Dronten foal auction and even €31,000 at a prestigious Westfalen sale.

In addition to his excellent qualities as a breeding stallion, Vino Tinto is developing under saddle into a talented sport horse. With a striking first crop, proven pedigree, top movement quality, and an excellent character, Vino Tinto is a very promising talent for both sport and breeding.
